Zoe’s Blog
At the moment I am at a farm. There is a boy that is the same age as Tom called Louis, his mum is called Lynda and his dad is called Alain.(it sounds like Alan) They have a beautiful farm and the biggest apple orchard I have ever seen – not saying I have seen many apple orchards!
I got letters from all my friends at school and it made me homesick. I also got the class photo and I missed my friends. I wrote back to all of them and my grandmother is taking the letters back to Australia, but it is going to take a while because she is still travelling for another three weeks.
My grandma also brought me some maths books that I have been doing and I really like them. In a couple of days I will be flying to London and we are going to a place called Penzance to work on a farm there called ‘Plan-It Earth’. I am looking forward to staying there and doing lots of interesting things in their garden and their property.
I hope all my friends are really well and I hope they like the letters I wrote to them.

Sweden
At the moment we are in Sweden.
The last farm we went to was called Bossgarden and it was very nice. We got to stay in a caravan, and it was big – I mean huge! We had lambs running around the caravan, it was cute.
Dad helped move Buta the pig to her new pig sty in the field.
Now we are at a farm in Baltak not too far from Bossgarden.
We are staying in a beautiful hand built wooden wagon that is next to a forest – my bed feels like sleeping on a cloud! The farm also has sheep and they are in the same field as the wagon.
You can walk to apple trees and plum trees that grow close to the road and find delicious apples and plums on the ground beneath them. Tom and I go for lots of walks with Mum and Dad in the afternoons exploring the areas around the farm.
On the weekend we went mushroom hunting and found lots of mushrooms in the forest that we could eat for dinner. We also found lots of blueberries in the forest and they were delicious.
The owners are called Toni and Fabian, they have a little baby called Janosch, he is very cute.
I like it here in Baltak.
Arvo’s Place
I am a long way behind in my blogs, so now I can try to catch up!
A few weeks ago we went to Arvo’s place. He was our WWOOFing host in New Mexico, which is in America.
Arvo has two flocks of chickens and a dog called Annie, he also has two emus who lay giant blue eggs for Arvo. The male emu (Arvo calls the male a he-mu and the girl a she-mu) was funny because he tries for sneak up and peck you, but it doesn’t hurt too much.
I liked walking to the hot-springs, even though it was a really long way and a hard walk. It took a lot of courage to get there but you feel really good once you do it.
I loved collecting the eggs and exploring a canyon which was just below where we were sleeping.
There is much more to write and I will have to bring another blog to you soon.
New Zealand Continued… by Zoe
I have not been thinking about my blog because I have been too busy exploring!
So to tell you all the things that I have ben doing, I am going to give you a review now.
A few weeks ago we stayed at Don & Davina’s house in New Zealand. At their place there was two dogs & two trampolines there too. One dog was called Zola she was white like snow & she was huge!!! There was also three kids who were fun to play with and some really cute piglets of a special type of pig called a Kune Kune. I really liked them because they followed you around for food and you could pat them and they made noises like they were talking!
From Don and Davina’s we went to work at Judith’s asparagus farm. There were thousands of cherry tomatoes there and they were red as rubys! I got to feed the chickens each day. The Easter Bunny visited us and we went on an Easter egg hunt. We also got to paint and Easter egg, it looked like plaster but inside it was chocolate.
We also found magic beans on the farm and I had so much fun in New Zealand.
Now I am in America and there is lots to tell, and there is one thing that you will really love – the Grand Canyon, but you’ll have to wait until the next blog!

Our First Farm Stay
I found a cave on the farm which had a solar powered lantern and it was protected from the wind and rain. You had to climb a ladder to get into it.
There was a cool game we played with letters that you turned over and then you had to find words.
I was scared of the pigs (some of them were 200kg!) on the farm, but I did like spot – he was a little piglet that was very cute.
I caught a rooster and we ate it for dinner – I got to see it having its guts removed.
Twice for dinner we had pizza, we made them ourselves. We cooked them with the fire in an outdoor oven. We got to put our pizza on a bench in a queue to get them cooked.
